I would like to know the answer for this division question please.
When I divide 795 by a certain number the answer is 23 and reminder is 13. What number did I divide by?

let the number be x.
then 795/x=23 (13) where the number in the brackets represents the remainder.
by the definition we have:
795=23*x+13
just solve this equation and you will get the answer.
