Re: imposible equation

Hi valdense;

Welcome to the forum! That is not an equation, that is a bunch of columnar data where the first column is a, the second b and the third c. Am I right?

What you appear to want is a relation between a,b,c that gives you the 4th column. This is a curve fitting problem.

I can fit that but I need some info from you.

Re: imposible equation

What form do you think the fit is:

A linear fit?

c1*a + c2*b + c3*c = 4th column

A non linear fit? In other words do you have any thoughts on what the form should look like. Knowing where that data comes from might help.

Re: imposible equation

I don't know the mathematical transactions that are behind this.
All the info i have is that using these three variable values gives you the variable answer (4th column).

Re: imposible equation

for example for the combination of 1,1,1
the answer is always going to be >=5 and <11

Re: imposible equation

Hi valdense;

1,1,1 is not in the above data! I am going to need it all to have any chance. No guessing, I need everything you have.

Re: imposible equation

hi bobbym

how does one post a "Help Me!" kind of question into the "Formulas" sub-forum?

Re: imposible equation

There are many other help me kinds of threads in this section.But it is not urgent,so i think those can wait a while longer.

Re: imposible equation

I try to please every member. But remember the forum is not called bobbym. MIF is the boss and I work for him. For major changes I would have to consult him first.

Re: imposible equation

Hi;

Is it not kind of late for you?

Looking at this original question, the OP never did answer any of my questions so that this could be solved. I wonder why that happens? Do people just forget about the problems?
