Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

So the tail is less than 1 / 4 as predicted.

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

Oooh,I thought we should include the tail.

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

Notice with 3 terms I do not have even 1 correct digit after the decimal. That is because the error term ( tail ) is .25

How many terms to get 6 diigts after the decimal?

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

Actually,we should take 999999 terms and get tbe error of 10^(-6).

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

We need an error term of less than .0000005 so where should we stop the series?

I will see you later.

Yes, we stop right before the term

1 / 2000000

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

hi bobbym

where were you?

and could you help me with that integral in Series?

and could you give me the next question?

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

I was asleep for about 2 hours.

We still have plenty of meat right here.

Does 2000000 terms seem like a lot to you?

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

hi bobbym

You finally got some sleep!!!

I just need a hint, because I just don't know to solve that integral. It is the one with arcsin(x).

And,yes it does, but it is the one we are currently know for sure will give us the wanted estimate.Maybe another method would give us an approximation with less terms.

Re: Oh,Oh,Oh,merry analysis!!!

That is correct. In numerical analysis ( the meat of mathematics ) there is something called sequence accelerations. We are going to look at some of them. Just as soon as I get some flash cards for mandy.

Ok.But can you still check that integral? Please?
