Pi 'product'ion!

Hi guys

This is a dumb question,but can anyone help me with the product:

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

Hi;

Integrals are harder than derivatives. Sums are harder than integrals, products are harder than sums. Why do you think there is some hand way to do this? The fact that M can chew this up and return an answer does not imply this is easy.

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

I know that and have vetified that with that arcsin integral. Btw,this product and integral are connected,just not through math.

Do you at least have an idea on how I coukd start this?

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

What integral are we talking about?

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

The arcsin(x)/x integral. It is connected to this product. But I didn't get this product from the integral because the are not math connected. They are connected by a person. And my question still holds.

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

One more thing, why do you think they are related?

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

I do not think that,I know that. They are connected by a person. But it is not of any importance for the solution.

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

Here is another answer for it that uses a CAS and differs from alpha:

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

Hi bobbym

The formula is supposedly known as Wallis formula. I recommend checking out the mathworld article on it.

Hi;

I know the formula, but did not recognize it. Sorry.

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

It's okay.

Do you know what this now means?

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

Nope. That integral has a factor of ln(2) in it.

Re: Pi 'product'ion!

No. I told you this product had nothing to do with that integral or *that* sum, but look at the sum on p7 or p8,the one with the zeta function. That is the one I have now completed.I will post my solution tomorrow.
