Re: Science Website Names

Psyence.com

That name is so offbeat, most people would not even think it had anything to do with science.

Hi!

Is ScienceIsFunForum taken? smile

Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional).
LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make.

Re: Science Website Names

ScienceIsFunForum.com is available, but I wouldn't want to get in the way of the ScienceIsFun.com owner

ScienceSite.com ... they want $5,000 for it.

Scienceiscool.com is already taken, but some variation may work:
* ScienceIsGreat.com

NeedScience.com is available

Re: Science Website Names

Hi MathsIsFun

"ScienceFun4U" is on the "FreeDropped Domain Names List" at http://napsterbundles.com/452/440.html, and might be available for not many buckazoids.

I'd been hoping to come up with a name that had "Fun" in it to relate it to MIF in some way, in case you might like to link the science site to and from MIF.

After trying more than umpteen names containing both "Science" and "Fun", this is the first to show any promise. There's an overabundance of imagination out there!

Btw, I don't know if there are any domain-name trawlers about, spying on people such as us who are airing our compositions, but if there are, maybe this thread would have been safer in the Members Only forum.

Re: Science Website Names

Some people own thousands of names, and just sit on them waiting for bidders. I have spent hours and hours thinking of and checking names, pretty much all taken.

And yes, we run a small risk of being "gazumped" ... such is life.

Re: Science Website Names

A true saying.

Out of interest I just ran a check on MIF post content that can be found on Google: Google finds content from the body of non-member posts, but not from hide boxes or from the Members Only forum.

Did ScienceFun4U appeal at all, and is it actually available...and free (or cheap)? I know nothing about these things.
