Advocacy F1

I am sorry if this thread should belong to some other section.

I need a way to convince someone that maxima, sage, mathematica, and geogebra are better than Microsoft Mathematics

'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.'
'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it'
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Re: Advocacy F1

Anything is better than a Micro$oft product.

I believe that program only does algebra. M and Sage are much better and Geogebra is in a class by itself.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: Advocacy F1

M does what else?

Re: Advocacy F1

And Geogebra surpasses it!

Re: Advocacy F1

But it is something completely different

Re: Advocacy F1

Yes it is. A CAS is like a poet while Geogebra is like an artist.

Re: Advocacy F1

Now, poetry is a form of art

Re: Advocacy F1

A CAS slings symbols around to do math. Geogebra moves and creates drawings to do math. That is what I meant

I was joking

It was a good joke. It made sense and I did not catch it. Very good!
