equation describing the same line

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Which of the following equations describe the same line as the equation 3x+4y=5?

y=3/4x+5
5-3x-4y=0
y=3/4x+5/4
6x+8y=5

Thanks

Re: equation describing the same line

Hi;

Choose the second one.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: equation describing the same line

Subtract 3x from both sides.

Subtract 4y from both sides.

Put the 0 on the other side.

Which matches the second one.

Good that you worked it out yourself.
