Sounds like you're planning to be the father. Is that wise at the age of 93 (plus 13 I guess) ?

By that date, babies will be coming so fast it will be hard to identify the exact one. In the time from 'head first sighted' to 'first scream' many babies could be born. You will need a split second definition of 'moment of birth' and all maternity units (including the bathroom floor) to be connected to the internet for reporting and ranking purposes.

I am afraid not. The m's die here. I estimate that 1 in 4 humans is born in my building.

Do they ever leave it? Have you heard of Patterson's "The Lake House"?

If experimental biologists have anything to do with it, there will, officially, never be 8 myriad people on Earth.

Here lies the reader who will never open this book. He is forever dead.

No, that one I have not heard of.

Extrapolating into the future even when you think you know what those devils are thinking is difficult. Nobody looked at the other two numbers.

1 in 4 humans? That is why I said that "officially" there will never be 8 myriad people.

The truth about it is that those two dates are more in question then the population.

I thought in his model there was no catastrophes or anything to stop population growth.

8 billion? Hah! We have that many living next door to me.

Whenever a dangerous predator begins to have a large population they have a hunt to control their numbers. In Jersey they have bear hunts, in Florida gator and python hunts, why not a human hunt? Every January 1st the teetotalers take up positions outside housings where the partiers are getting soused. As they come out, boom! One less dangerous predator. Of course it would not be fair if the partiers were not armed too, then many dangerous predators could be eliminated.

Hi mathaholic;

You might have some of those babies as part of your family by then.
