**Conjecture** There exists a finite set of bobbym quotes such that for every situation that ever exists, there exists a quote in that set which is the appropriate reaction to the situation.

**Current State of the Art** Please see the The Blue Book of bobbym Quotes thread.

**Possible Applications in the Future** With considerable advancements in Artificial Intelligence programming, we will be able to create a nice auto-responder that could be used to spam various online communities

Great application - we could call it superbob.

Churchill (drunk): You're ugly, woman!

Woman (horrified): You're drunk!

Churchill: Yes, but in the morning I shall be sober...

Superm makes more sense. Or maybe we should can the whole idea.

It needs more work.

The conjecture should be false.

How does that relate?

Turing and Church proved that it would take an infinite number of methods to solve an infinite number of problems. In other words no finite set of methods would suffice. I reason that no finite amount of quotes would suffice either.

I don't think that applies here.

There exists a finite combination of bobbym quotes which could be used to generate ideas of arbitrary kolmogorov complexity

It might. The set theory example is that no finite amount of axioms can answer all questions, so why should a finite number of quotes?

But you are asking for a set of quotes that cover all situations. It is easy to come up with such a set but they seem to be trivial.

But bobbym quotes do not cover every situation.

He is neither awesome or interesting. I know him and he is rather ordinary. Every time he tells me the IQ test story I laugh so hard my spleen explodes.

hi Agnishom,

You are right to give this thread the title 'Consistency Hypothesis'. Is your theory consistent? Is your conjecture true ?

Consider this:

Universal set = {every situation that ever exists}

That includes this situation:

There exists "a situation in which there is no appropriate quote for that situation".

For if that situation doesn't exist then there is a situation that isn't in the Universal set =><=

Therefore your conjecture is false (sorry ) and your theory inconsistent.

I think you are right but may be we can reword the theory?

Here is the story:

Paris Hilton

Everyone tried to comfort me, do not listen to him they said, we all know you are a genius and will accomplish great things. I sure showed them!

P.S: Does this sound like bobbym?

Bumpkins are for integration?

You made me read that story again and I am laughing and suffering from a ruptured spleen. You should hear how bobbym tells it.
