Silly origin problem

Which of these points are closest to the origin?
A.(-1,-1)
B.(.5,.5)
C.(.5,-.5)
D.(0,-1)
E(0,.5)
There is only 1 answer, apparently.
Wouldn't B and C be the nearest to the origin(having distance .25?)

Re: Silly origin problem

Hi;

The answer is E, ( 0, .5 )

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
