And yeah, one thing I don't understand in this forum is that when you are sending the message, I am not receiving it, I have to refresh the page or go back to the previous page to again receive your message. Is this a similar problem happening with you all. If yes then how can I resolve it because then we will constantly have to go back and see whether you have sent a message or not for 2 persons marked "online" chatting in this forum.

I have to press "New" to see a new post or I use refresh too. This is not a chat.

Yes they are 3 different questions. And please not that i had given the last question wrong. I have edited it. Please see.

And yeah you have to simplify the following.

Hi;

Do I use this expression

No; only in the 1st question; for the rest questions you have to simplify them, understood.

Your 1 st answer is correct but you need to simplify the fraction.

Hmmm, that is strange because we always normalize the denominator else you will get

Hi;

your 1st answer is now correct. Yes you told right that we always rationalize the denominator... but still 1/√5 is more simpler... we rationalize the denominator when we have a fraction whose numerator or denominator is composed of more than 1 term. Example

Your 2nd answer(answer of the 4th question) is wrong. Take x as 1 and then see it would not be matching.

Then what do you mean by a real solution of y and z. Because the

is a root and I believe the only real root.

This equation has a real root:

which is just a basic manipulation of your problem. x can be found by numerical computation to as many digits as we need. But there is no closed form for x in terms of known constants that I can discover. But there are simple forms for y and z as I have posted.

Hi;

I do not think it is wrong, I think I did not understand the question and solved another problem.

Your answer leads to this:

Is that what they wanted?
