Linear Recurrence Equation and Linear equations

Hi, is the a difference between Linear Recurrence Equation and Linear equations???

or they are the same..?

and what is the Linear Recurrence Equation ?

and the important thing I need to know about is : How do we know if it is Linear Recurrence Equation or non-linear?

Re: Linear Recurrence Equation and Linear equations

That is a lot of material.

These are linear equations: y = 2x + 5, 3x + 4y + 10 z = 0

These are non linear equations 5xy + 34 = 0. x^3 + 2x^2 - 4xy - 1 = 0.

These are some linear recurrence equations.

These are some non linear recurrence equations

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
