That isn't pessimism. Pessimisim is the opposite of Optimisim, which is always looking at the bright side of life. Thus, pessimisim is always looking at the glass as half-empty.

Megalomaniac basically means a pathological egotist.

And pathological means the quality of being diseased or dysfunctional.

And egotist just means a conceited and self-centered person.
