Re: Soccer

I agree! Soccer is really neat!  I used to run really fast before I gained weight, but now I'm starting to lose it by mountain biking.
I hope to play soccer again someday around where I live, just for fun and exercise.  I used to!

Re: Soccer

Soccer is one of my favourite sports...actually, soccer and baseball share the term 'favourite'.

My other regular sports activities include basketball, cricket and rounders. Although I don't play them as often!

Re: Soccer

It takes years of practice for skill...sometimes years of practice doesn't do it. Sometimes thirty years of practice doesn't even do it. But sooner or later, if you have the will and determination, you will get it. It takes a lot of co-ordination - and making soccer a part of your life. Practice makes perfect, but it takes patience. Never give up. wink

Re: Soccer

Yep...it does. My school has a netball team; Obviously, as I expected, no males even went to the try-outs area, or even bothered to sign up. But our school always wins the netball against the other schools. cool

Re: Soccer

I've played volleyball, but people don't usually pass to me. I don't know why, my position is always at the back or the front, never in the middle. tongue

The boys volleyball team I know have butterfingers. They drop the ball all the time, like they have no catching skills. I wonder how they made the team...? Plus, they have a kid who always wastes a good shot by knocking it straight off the court. No hand-eye co-ordination whatsoever. Well, a lot of people make the team and pass the tryouts, somehow. I guess that's life.
