There's an image with letters which guests have to read and type in before they post, to stop random spamming attacks.

Actually, this is quite serious. Imagine a spambot getting through MathsIsFun security and deleting and messing up members' messages, or worse.

It should be pretty obvious what a spambot is without me actually telling you. It gives you a hint in the name.
SpamBot = A bot that spams. Simple.

Well, unless SpamBots are configured to be used for a member's(s') account, then we are doomed! That is, for about 2 hours since MathsIsFun will find a way to combat these SpamBots of disaster.
Are the image verification system's images randomly generated?
