standard form equation

write in standard form; (0,5), m=-3/5
y=mx + b          5=-3/5(0) +b        5=b       y=0.x+5         y=5
did I do this correct? or am I not getting something

Re: standard form equation

you got the value of b correct, but the line would be y = -3/5x + 5, you only substitute the given values of the function to find the value of b, you dont retain them, if you know what i mean

The End Of All Things To Come.

Re: standard form equation

so then to write it in standard form would just be y=-3/5x+5 am I trying to make things complicated?

Re: standard form equation

Yes, that's all you need to do.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
