Just one more problem from the helpless...

if the square root of x + the square root of y = the square root of 10 and x-y=5squarerootof2, find the value, in simplest radical form, radical x- radical y.



[Hint: Look for a conjugate binomial relationship. Use that relationship to write an equation that you can solve.]
