name of the polar curve a + b cos(mθ) ?

I'm trying to remember the name of a polar curve of the form
a + b cos(mθ)

According to this page here,
http://mathdemos.gcsu.edu/mathdemos/family_of_functions/
polar_gallery.html
its a rose "style" curve. Makes sense since this is basically a rose curve with an extended radius. But do they have a unique name?

A logarithm is just a misspelled algorithm.

quote web = This curve was named rhodonea by the Italian mathematician Guido Grandi between 1723 and 1728 because it resembles a rose

also    limacon     ,   lemniscate
