There's a similar triangle in that diagram that you know the side length of.

Yup, that's what I got.

I just realised that you can also use the fact the equilateral triangles have angles of 60° along with some trigonometry to work out the base lengths of the two right-angled triangles and get the overall side length that way. That way might have been easier. Still, at least it confirms the answer.
