O is the centre of a circle and AT is the tangent to the circle at T.
The radius of the circle is 6 cm and OA = 12 cm.
So together OTA is a triangle. I need to find the area of the region of the triangle that is outside of the circle..
thanx!

Thank you - but how do you know that the area is that? What method do you use?
Thanks again
OA is twice the length of OT and = ∠OTA is a right angle. ∴ OÂT = π⁄3. From there its straightforward to work everything out.
