Percentages of evaluations

Hello!

I'm trying to figure out how to give percentages of questions asked in an evaluation of a program.  What I mean by that is, let's say we have received 37 evaluations of a program, and the questions are scored 1-5.  Of the 37 received, let's say 23 were scored with a 5, 11 scored with a 4, 2 were scored with a 3, and 1 was scored with a 2.  How do I find the percentage numbers for the 23, the 11, the 2 and the 1?

I'd greatly appreciate any help - I've never been good at this!

Re: Percentages of evaluations

if you want the percentage of tests scored for each grade value, then the formula is 100*(number of tests with that score)/(total number of tests) the denominator we already know is 37.

So if for instance, you had 18 tests with a score of 5, by the above formula you get about 48.6%. this makes sense since 18 is a little less than half of 37 and so is close to 50%.

Hope this answers your question.

A logarithm is just a misspelled algorithm.

Re: Percentages of evaluations

go ahead and do the smaller number divided by the total multiplied by 100.

so:

(23/37)*100 =  62%
(11/37)*100 =  30%
(2/37)*100 = 5%
(1/37)*100 = 3%

total:             100%

I hopes that helps.

EDIT: This is the second time you've beaten me Mikau.

There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary, those who don't, and those who can use induction.
