I breath in maths, and exhale answers.

Hi everyone! I'm a pure maths lover! I'm originally from America, where we are taught to love, salute and respect the most miraculous subject - Maths. I'm 23 years & 3/4 's. So according to my calculations I have just 1 quarter to go before I turn 24! Yaay!!
*Maths Hug!!*
And also, according to my calculations again, i have another good 60 years to live - which is alright by me.
Hey, don't you think calculators are a disgrace to the beauty of maths? Maths takes will power, sleepless nights, feverish behaviour, sweaty days and sore brains - thus the answer that is produced is so worth it. And all that effort nowadays are throwm down the garbage by calculators. What do you think? Maybe I ought to start a topic on that. I've said quite enough.
I hope to make friends here.
Well, welcome me in!
Good day ya'll!!
Keep maths pure in your hearts, dear ones!

Re: I breath in maths, and exhale answers.

Welcome Gurrdish!  I admit to using the google calculator, because it's fast, but I
usually make an estimate in my head to see if it is close to given answer.
Maybe I'm just too much in a rush, huh?  Okay, let's throw out all the calculators.
And computers too then, right?
Hey, you just gave me a neat idea, add up all the digits of pi, and memorize the
sum as it gets bigger.  Talk to you later...

Re: I breath in maths, and exhale answers.

Here's some of pi.
I started adding the digits by hand and noticed
that 111 and 222 and 333 are in the
growing list, but 444 was skipped.
I started with the 3 and add the 1 and then the 4.
Have fun.
Here's pi to 1001 digits if you include the 3 at the beginning!!

Maths is more complex than you may think, Gurrdish!

Many things fall under Maths, even the coputer you use to access this site!

Anyway, Welcome to you, my friend!~

Re: I breath in maths, and exhale answers.

Well, try to use a formal manner of typing, we would all appreciate that, especially no 1337!

Re: I breath in maths, and exhale answers.

Exactly, you see, many people don't even bother to type formally.

Re: I breath in maths, and exhale answers.

Like, dyslexia? Maybe and (hopefully) not. Actually, don't type they way you speak. That ought'a do it.
