Quick Question About Roots

can some1 plz explain to me how sqrt(x^2-x-1)/abs(x) = sqrt(1-(1/x)-(1/x^2))

That’s wrong! It should be sqrt(x^2-x-1)/abs(x) = sqrt(1-(1/x^3)) (or else you have copied the left-hand-side expression incorrectly).
