Not all of you may have heard of this person, but I assure you that it is not an obscure name. The point of this game is to have fun. Thus I dont want to make it too easy (that wouldnt be challenging, and therefore wouldnt be fun) but neither do I want it to be too obscure. If its a name that nobody has ever heard of except for the player posing the challenge, that would not be fun except to the player posing the challenge. This was the unfortunate case in the previous game, in which one inconsiderate fool made everybody guess a name which nobody other than he himself has heard of. You can be sure I am not as antisocial as that twit.

I agree he made that one a bit too hard and may have answered that one question improperly, but I don't think he did it to amuse himself at the expense of others. Ann Radcliffe wrote the Gothic novel The Mysteries of Udolpho, which features in one of the novels of Jane Austen. In that Austen novel, the young heroine Catherine Morlands favourite novel is The Mysteries of Udolpho; she reads it and then makes a fool of herself when she visits Northanger Abbey.
