I'm definitely self-taught!  I'm curious, and constantly comb the Internet for different ways to explain topics for myself and my students.  I used to be ashamed of this - would never tell anyone that much of the higher math I teach, I learned on my own.  Anyone else experience this?

The good part is that if I can teach myself, I can teach others.

New to this forum, I'm astounded by the variety of topics, explanations, and exercises in so many fields of mathematics.  This is my 32nd year teaching and I'm fortunate enough to teach Calculus - (BC & Multivariable) as well as Linear Algebra, but I've taught every math class from 2nd grade through my current assignment.  I always seek to understand the "why" behind the "what" and pass that along to my students, so I'm especially grateful to have found this site!  Thank you all!
