Math Is Fun Forum

Hi. I'm a college freshman, math major. I've been looking for such a forum for a long time, and god bless me, I found mathisfun. This is a GREAT place!

It has been my belief for years that math is not a dry and difficult and useless discipline as many regard it. Math people are not secluded theorists who cannot live a normal life.

Quite the contrary, math is fun. Thinking abstractly with symbols can be as interesting as drawing vividly with a brush or writing descriptively with a pen.

Math is applicable. The theories are usually means rather than ends. Math interprets the world in an elegant way and boils questions down to their cores, thus enabling us to find good and quick solutions.

Moreover, math brings people together. That's why I feel this forum is so great. I'll come by often to see what's been shared, and I'll contribute whenever I can. I also look forward to making some friends here.
