Haha thanks, but someone changed the world pee in the last line to math?
Although this has nothing to do with math, I found it pretty funny.
Two guys are on a boat for a private cruise. Overnight while sleeping they don't realize that the whole crew including the captain had abandoned ship leaving them alone and the ship sinking. They got into a raft and were floating on the ocean for days. One day one of the men came across a lamp floating in the ocean, one that resembled the lamp out of Aladdin. Following the usual procedure he rubbed the lamp and of course a genie popped out. The genie said "Okay, I've been doing this 3 wish thing for quite a while now, so you only get one wish"...
The first man who had been deprived of water for so long , panicked and blurted out "I wish we had a lifetime supply of beer" and *Poof* .. The genie changed the ocean water into beer.
The second man said "Great going Einstein, now we have to math in the boat" .
It is, but you'll find one. Hopefully,
Fingers crossed .
Its actually a quite simple web address for these type of things.
www.gifs.net
Once there, they have a wide selection of gifs..If you want one like mine click "everything else" and then click "kaleidoscopes"
Not much gifs in that category that I liked , besides the one I have now .
Hope you find one you like.
Hey bobbym;
Yes, I did find it on a site indeed. If your looking for one like mine I can give you the link.
Thanks bobbym.
Nvm , I found a different gif that worked. Thanks
Hey bobbym,
No I haven't, is it a similar site to this?
(Should be more topics like this, I liked it )
Wow ... I'd live to visit that someday.
Hold on a sec.. I've got to find them again :\
Yeah I did still no go.
I tried it with a different picture as well... Same result.
No, I changed the dimensions with a photo editing site.
Yeah I altered it to be, otherwise it wouldn't let me upload it.
Yep mine is animated but isn't animated at the moment.
Answer is N^2+N+1
Got another?
(And how did you get your picture to be animated?... Mine is .gif as well but doesn't seem to be working :\ )
I couldn't find the one before :\
Hey bobby,
Is it N^4-N?
Sure.
A question unrelated to the topic, I'm guessing your in university?
Hm.. All right, I think I understand.
I edited my last post with the answer to 3). If it didn't show I wrote..
3) N^2+ N
Hey bobby,
I didn't give any thought to 3 but just hold on Ill try to solve it.
(Did you come up with these yourself?)
What I don't understand is , in the method they describe on your link its Xn. Two variables meaning two unknowns.
The method I was described we didn't have x, only n. N would represent the term. For example your question..
1)4,7,12,19,28,39..
For the first term N = 1 , and since the answer is n^2+3 the equation would be .
1^2+3 = 4
Next term N=2... 2^2+3= 7, and so on.
What I don't get is what are they representing by x?
EDIT:
3) N^2 + N
Hey bobby,
1) N^2 + 3
The link you sent me makes no sense. It brings in two variables to find the answer.
Haven't been taught that so not quite grasping the concept.
I know that for 2) You have to add the two previous numbers to get the next , but can't figure out how to write it as "The nth term"
