Mmm....do many people die from sailing round the world?

I have done some research in case anyone else is interested in climbing it.

It's going to set you back something like £40, 000.

You need to;

Go on a climbing course and then practice

Go on an ice climbing course and then climb a lesser mountain

Do a load of training before attempting the ascent

Also you should know;

70% of attempts are unsuccessful and for every 10 climbers that make the ascent 1 will die trying to

That is a high risk! I'm quite scared now..................................................... Oh well!

I'm a girl by the way. I think everyone keeps thinking I'm a guy. That Nehushtan was so rude to me bobbym. I don't think he would have been if he knew I was a lady. Although I am assuming he/she is a guy. Could have been a cat fight......... Meow!

Better to start at the beginning isn't it..........  I think it should make a noise when you find a prime.

#56 Re: Euler Avenue » Was mathematics invented or discovered? » 2016-04-27 14:09:54

The word 'Math' is invented. That's why you can say it in different languages and it doesn't matter. However the math itself was discovered because it is highly unlikely that some guy in China and some guy in England invented the same mathematics. They could have used different symbols.......... but it would have been the same mathematics.

If mathematics was invented to cope with sensory information linking it to reality. I would just like to say that all sensory information is real. Just because you could be dreaming doesn't mean you are.

I have changed my mind. I think climbing mount everest is God's will for my life. I googled how do we know what God wants us to do and it said the holy spirit would pacify and encourage us when we are leaning in the right direction and I get so excited at the prospect of climbing mount everest. I know there is a God because even when no one is around I never feel alone, ever since I was a child this has been true.

#58 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » I am going to climb Everest » 2016-04-27 08:40:16

I have decided not to climb mount everest. If I was the last person on earth and I'm sitting on a beach. It's just me and God, if there is one. There is a bunch of cliffs behind me. I could climb them to see if I can get to the top without dying but I don't because I'm not stupid. And if climbing mountains is just to impress people then that is stupid as well. I am going to buy some fish. I love watching the ocean, much safer!

check p is not a square

where a+b is a factor and a-b is another factor

Number ending in 3: factors end in 1 and 3, or 7 and 9. Times by 27 factors now end in 1 and 1.
f=10c+1 L=10d+1
b=(10c+1-10d-1)/2=5(c-d)

where m is a square

My mental health nurse asked me to have a good think about what I want to do. So I come across this website: ' 7 Strange Questions That Help You Find Your Life Purpose' and one of the questions was, If you knew you were going to die one year from today, what would you do and how would you want to be remembered? And I realised I would want to climb Mount Everest, not that this is even possible in a year I don't think. I can do it because I get quite a lot of sickness benefit probably for the rest of my life and I have no other commitments. So I can be totally focused on becoming a mountain climber.

I have thought of a way to quit smoking. I am going to go on an expedition for 3 days without any cigarettes. Preferably on my own because I'll probably be in a bad mood!

I don't really know how to do this. 4k+2 will always be even so n will be any odd no. My formula doesn't work for even no.'s. So n has factors f and L where a=(f+L) /2 and b=(f-L) /2. For a prime the only factors will be 1 and itself, so the only occurrence for a squared minus b squared will be when a=(p+1)/2 and b=(p-1)/2. For a composite b will be less than this.

Of course p does have those possible squares. But ONLY those. To see if p is composite, test all values for b where b is greater than 1and smaller than (p - 1)/2.

To generate prime numbers;

A= All primes apart from 2 multiplied together up to prime x.

prime when <(the prime just above x) squared and >1

This is because A is factorable by all possible factors apart from 2, and

isn't. Also
is factorable by 2 and A isn't. The remainders from
for primes up to x carry to the answer. A is multiplied by all odd no.'s so is odd and
is even, generating an odd no. with no factors <itself other than 1.

This concept is useful when trying to prove that there are an infinite number of twin primes;

A= All primes apart from 2 multiplied together up to prime x.
p= prime>x
r=p+1
m= any odd integer

is not factorable by any primes <p. This is because, according to Fermat's Little Theorem, we know that
is factorable by a prime when z+1=that prime. Also we know that remainders for
repeat themselves.
I.e. remainder for 7 for
=

=1
=2
=4
=1
=2
=4
=1............

So when z is a prime it is not a composite so the remainder 1 for other primes <z has not repeated itself. So

will not be factorable by primes <p and
will not be factorable by primes<p but will be factorable by 2.

Therefore

and
generates twin primes, just so long as they = a no. <(the prime just above x) squared and are >1.

Example:

A=105
p=13
r=14
m=157

Twin primes because both = <
and >1.

Sorry, this theorem only works with ODD numbers. So p is odd and a is either odd or even and b is the opposite.

Another way of proving p is prime is;

only when a-b=1
So add possible
to p and see if it = a square.
(a+b) and (a-b) will be factors

This is because for any odd Non-Prime that has a factor of >1, it can be produced with the below formula;

only when (x - y) can be> 1

I can prove it

x = (f + L)/2
y = (f - L)/2 therefore

   and

minus the two and it = fL which are the two factors....
And x - y = ((f + L)/2) - ((f - L)/2) = L which must be >1 for p to Not be, Prime or 1.
