In a forest there are 2000 trees. In the forest there are 6 types of trees;oak, willow, beech, apple, sneadin and the pear tree. The nearby town knew that and that there were more oak trees in the forest than the others-for eg:oak is 2 and the rest are 1,1,1,1,1-, the amount of all the other trees were all multiples of 2, 3 or 4.

With this information can you tell me how many willow trees there are in the forest.faint

I meant wrong as in I don't think that you could weigh an elephant unless it was a toy on. Let me reword that sentence.Zach: I doubt that you could weigh an elephant but you got it right.Sorry for that confusion.

One day a engineer was ordered by his boss to measure the length of a road. However, the engineer had only a single piece of rope which he didn't know the length of.What he did learn was that if he stretched this rope out 30 times it would be 2m long. But if he did it 29 times it was 4m short.

Can you figure out the length of both the rope and the road?dunnofaint

Is that harder for you mathsy?

Look who's talking! I think I'm starting to see lots of similarities between you and a baby.I think it may either be your lack of intelligence, wit, tact, humour and sophistication that does it. Yeah, I think , no, I KNOW I'm right.

One day while inspecting workers unloading grain from sveral boats on a rocky river bank, the manager decided to give a prize of £1000. The catch was to tell him how to measure an elephant using only an elephant, a scale which was used for weighing sacks of grain, sacks of grainand the boats.

How did one of the workers win the prize by only using what he/she was given?

This one is tricky...dunnodunnodunnorolleyes

dunnoEinstein wrote this when he was 6 yrs old.

1+2+3-4+5+6+78+9=100

Keeping the digits1-9 in acsending order and only using + and - signs can you make 100? How many solutions can you find?

(You are allowed to stick numbers together to make bigger numbers like 7+8=78)
