I think Jane didn't count your thermosphere, since you said it was the exosphere and ionosphere together.

I couldnt accept ionosphere because its not technically considered a layer of of the Earths atmosphere. The ionosphere is just a region in the atmosphere that is particularly good for bouncing off electromagnetic waves in radio telecommunications; its influence in the meteorological aspects of the atmosphere is secondary or minimal.
