Maybe he is still in school, and wrote the wrong date in the page at the start of the new year, and the teacher asked him to correct all of them.
Yes, siva.eas, you're on the right track!!
Something else you have to right the date for, though.
So, he was writing the date, but not on an assignment or school work. Something else, very important. I will give you one clue though... the thing he was writing on is mentioned somewhere in this post. You may need to have a careful check.
