One quick question...help thanks!

I have no idea how to work this question so please solve it for me and could you please tell me what type of math this is?

Question:

A point P is placed on the line AB such that the ratio of the lengths AP : PB is the same as the ratio of the lengths AB : AP. Find the exact value of the ratio.

That question implies the golden ratio, which is equal to approximately 1.618, but which really keeps going forever.

It gives you quite an interesting read on it, albeit possibly hard to comprehend, and if you scroll down, it shows you how to calculate it.
