I have no idea how to work this question so please solve it for me and could you please tell me what type of math this is?
Question:
A point P is placed on the line AB such that the ratio of the lengths AP : PB is the same as the ratio of the lengths AB : AP. Find the exact value of the ratio.

That question implies the golden ratio, which is equal to approximately 1.618, but which really keeps going forever.
