hi k is not given i jus need to sketch it so i don't think i have to plot any accurate points on any axis.

If you do not know what the shape of the curve is you are going to have to vary k through some values such as 1,1.1,1.2 and plot it as I have done here.
I am assuming the first equation is

thanks bobby and i presume for 3e-kx the the curve is reversed so it is decay rather than growth?
It is a die away curve. It approaches the x axis.
