OpenFOAM

How many of you have actually used it?

Re: OpenFOAM

Hi Agnishom;

Have not used it yet.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: OpenFOAM

My Dad is an expert of it and I'm not but I need to compile it to impress him.

Hmmm, I admire that you want to impress your father. Do it if you want to but I know that he is already impressed by you.

When it is installed, yes. I thought they were compressed.

Re: OpenFOAM

The extractor has uncompressed them. When they are compressed they are gibberish.

Don't .bin, .sh and .run already do that?

Re: OpenFOAM

There is a big distro CAELinux, OpenFOAM is one of the included softwares. Never used it, though.
Not worth the download if OpenFOAM is the only one you need.

Re: OpenFOAM

Hi,

You're welcome!
The caelinux wiki pages look good enough to get started, and it even has LaTeX and LyX editor!
