Show that AB is not parallel to CD in the diagram, giving all reasons.
I am not certain of how I would set this out, could someone please help me?
Thank you.
Show that OD is perpendicular to OA.
angle AOB + angle BOC = angle COD
28 + 17 = 45
angle AOB + angle COD = 90
Therefore, OD is perpendicular to OA.
Show that A, O and D are collinear.
Can someone please help me, I forget how to do these!
Thanks.
In the diagrams below I'm just wondering what reasons would be given
Are these correct:
Diagram 1
a + 90 + 68 = 180 (angles on a straight line) I'm not sure if you can say supplementary angles as there has to be only two and same for adjacent angles on a straight line
a + 158 = 180
a = 22
Diagram 2
a + 34 + 22 = 90 (angles in a right angle) same applies here, I'm not sure whether you can say complementart angles or adjacent angles on a straight line as there has to been only 2
a + 56 = 90
a = 34
Thanks.
Hi,
Thanks very much for your help.
The answer I have been given says that a = b x root 3 and the area = b^2 x root 3.
I am unsure of how they got this answer.:/
Write down the altitude in the special case where s=2b.
What type of triangle is this and what is its area?
Please help. Thanks.;)
A paddock on level ground is 4 km long and 3 km wide. Answer these questions, correct to the nearest second.
a) If a farmer walks from one corner to the opposite corner along the fences in 84 minutes, how long will it take him if he walks across the diagonal?
b) If his assistant jogs along the diagonal in 40 minutes, how long will it take him if he jogs along the fences?
Please help me! Thank you.
Find the angles a and b in the diagram GIVING REASONS!
Thanks.
Thank you!!
Find the size of angle a in the diagram below, giving reasons.
Thanks a lot!!!!!!
Thanks but what would my reason be? Adjacent angles on a straight line or supplementary angles?
Thanks.
What is the difference between adjacent angles on a straight line and supplementary angles.
Please look at the diagram below. E.g. If I wanted to find angle ADC do I say ADC = 180 - a + 60 (adj. angles on a st. line, or supplementary angles)
Thank you.
Find the value of a in the diagram, giving all reasons
My attempt:
180(5-2) = 540 (What would be the reason here? E.g. Interior angle sum of an irregular pentagon)
2a + a + 104 + 125 + 107 = 540
3a + 336 = 540
3a = 204
a = 68
Thanks.
Yeah I do, thanks a lo but I'm not sure which reasons to give.
Thank you very much for your help. It's greatly appreciated, sorry I must have forgotton to put the arrow on the AB line.
Find the angles x and y in the diagram. Give reasons for each step in your arguments.
I don't know where to start! Can someone please help me.
Thank you.
