Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thank-you to you both
It is much appreciated
Can someone point me in the right direction to simplify this equation.
1/x+1 - 1/2x+1 = 1/6
thanks
Sorry for the delay in posting been away from my desk.
Thankyou very much it helps a lot
Yes I have substituted into the quadratic formula but I only get a positive answer and my workbook suggests
that b2-4ac is negative. I just cant see it
Using the quadratic formula why does
y² + y + 1 = 0
equal a negative answer ??
Thank you
As ever that explains things beautifully.
So sorry I go the equations wrong
3p-3=3q
and
7p = 1+4q
thanks
Through using substitution how can I solve
3p-3 = q
and
7p=1+4q
so that p=-1 and q=-2
Many Thanks in advance
Sorry
I realise Im being dumb but I dont understand your answer.
I have clicked on the equation but it doesnt take me to an answer
thanks
Hi,
I was hoping someone could explain why
3/√x + √x = 3/√x + √x.√x/√X
when then simplifies further to
3+x/√x
many thanks
Wow
Thanks for all your hard work.
Makes perfect sense
Fantastic
thanks for all your help
If you have any time left then I would like to hear why you can split the fraction because of addition on top and not the bottom.
thanks again
Hi,
Im doing a Maths course and I am finding the basics very difficult. the last time I did Maths was at O Level over 20 years ago and my poor ancient mind seems to have forgotten most of it.
Anyway can anyone help with the following.
Why and how does p+q/pq become 1/q+1/p
How is it possible to simplify (x-√3)(x+√3) to x² - 3
Thanks
thankyou so much
planetdomi
How is the following possible.
I realise I may be being very thick about this but I cant see it
4/√2 = 2x2/√2 = 2x√2 x √2/√2 = 2√2
What am I missing
wow that was quick
Thankyou
