Math Is Fun Forum

I can do Latex commands for x^2 and x^3 by using x² and x³, but when I try :xsup4 or any exponent higher than 4, it comes out wrong. What is the proper LaTex code for say, x^5? I've searched here and by Googling.

I only study math purely for fun. I succesfully completed college algebra with an A. And so now I just study whatever I feel like, which is usually precalculus, calculus and trigonometry. I have been learning those last three on my own for fun

I'm not much into seafood, but we are certainly known for it. I like crabcakes and fried clams, not much else in that category.

Maine is mostly rural, like the western part of Virginia. Maine is like Nova Scotia, it has a beautiful, rugged coastline.

Tidbit: Maine has 3,500 miles of coastline. If it were all stretched out, it would easily cross the U.S.
