A standing wave is set up between two points creating waves in phase. The second order anti-node is determined to be 10 cm from one source and 15 cm from the other. The speed of the waves is measured to be 20 m/s. What is the frequency of the waves?

The wavelength for sound in air is 6.8% of what it is in steel.  Its speed in air is 344 m/s.  A person uses a hammer to strike the end of a steel fence which is 84 m long.  This produces a note with a frequency of 3500 Hz [in the air and in the steel].  How long does it take for the sound to travel the length of the fence.

a) through the air
b) through the steel

Which of the following is not a primary trigonometric ratio of 2pi/3?
1.    2/(sqt 3)
2.    -1/2
3.    –(sqt3)
