Hi Bobbym Thankyou for your lighting fast reply to my question.
I feel stupid now that you have told me the answer because I worked back from that to see how you got the answer.
I have got the the answer 80 to the last one.
I also forgot to mention that I have to do this test without a calculator so the one about the milk if I didn't have a calculator how would I divide 17.040 into .568?
Good afternoon all
I am a newbie here and this is my first post. I discovered this website site via google and am hoping someone will be able to help me.
I have a numerical reasoning test coming up soon for my new job and am trying to brush up on my maths skills. It has been a while since I was last sat in a school maths class room, and I am struggling to remember the basics.
The types of questions that I need a bit of a reminder how to do are averages, percentages and area.
Eg
A car is traveling at 64MPH, How many miles will it have traveled in 45 minutes?
If anybody could explain how I would work this out and questions similar I would be very happy. As at the moment I am struggling to remember my school days.
Another
What is the average number of people per car when six cars carry thirty people?
Also questions like
How many 568ml cartons of milk are there in a chiller unit if the total quantity of milk being stored is 17.040 litres?
and last but not least area with questions like
One carpet tile measures 50cm by 50cm. How many tiles are required to cover a floor that measures 5m by 4m
I know in my head that these are really simple questions but I just cant remeber how to work them out.
Would be very grateful for any support.
