Step by step

*1st method:(JaneFairfax)
Let

we have

It is too long to develop
and if you do so you may make some mistakes while you developing .
*2nd method
Let

We have

With this method you dont have to develop any
to something
I think that the point that make the 2nd method easier.

#5 Re: Help Me ! » Proof by using multiple theorems » 2008-01-30 03:39:53

I think the answer is quite simple
*If A lies => A is a knave =>b is a knight
*If A tells the truth =>A is a knight =>B is a knave
  a knave always lies ,B:"A and I are of opposite type." is a lie=> B is a knight ( impossible )
Conclusion: A is a knave and B is a knight

Do you think this is correct ? I can not tell you all the things that i'm thinking -- my English is not good

#6 Re: Help Me ! » how to solve this » 2008-01-30 03:28:26

we can see x^2+2x+3<>o with any x belong to R
let

we have

  or

*

*
impossible to solve hehe
Please give me your opions about this method
Thanks

#7 Re: Help Me ! » Who can solve this problem ? I can . How about you????? :) » 2008-01-30 03:11:55

if you use y=x+3 ,you have to
(y+1)*(y+1)*(y+1)*(y+1)= y*y*y*y+4*y*y*y+6*y*y+4*y+1(easier ???)
my method
       y*y*y*y+(y-1)*(y-1)*(y-1)+(y-2)*(y-2)-2=0
<=>y*y*y*y+ y*y*y-2*y*y-y+1=0
<=>y*y*y*(y+1)-y*(y+1)-(y+1)(y-1)=0
<=>y*y*(y*y+y-1)-(y*y+y-1)=0
<=>y*y-1=0 or y*y+y-1=0

your solution is quite stupid
why dont you let a=x+4 that 's much easier lol:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

(x+2)*(x+2)+(x+3)*(x+3)*(x+3)+(x+4)*(x+4)*(x+4)*(x+4) = 2
x=?????????
show me !!!!!!!

1) 0.0876m
2) 400000000 metric tons
    100000000 gallons
3) about 1001.875 days
others problems are so that even a primary student can solve all of them .you should solve them by youself
P/S my english is not very good

#12 Re: Help Me ! » equationsof a line » 2007-10-13 17:08:17

line (d):y=3x+2 contain the point (r,s) =>s=3r+2

We Have
    (3r+2-s)(4r+9-s)=0
<=> s=3r+2  or  s=4r+9

==>(1) is sufficient   (a)

  (4r-6-s)(3r+2-s)=0
<=>s=4r-6  or  s=3r+2
==> (2) is sufficient    (b)

(a)(b)=>  Statements 1) and 2) together are sufficient

I'm not very good at solving problem in English , there may be some mistake
I'm not good at english too
