20. What is the area of this polygon?
I got F
A 178 sq units
B 129 sq units
C 230 sq units
D 240 sq units
E 219 sq units
F 206 sq units
ok So I got :
xvef= 3816
bult= 2728
RMCD= 1470
3816 + 2728 + 1470 = 8014 mm2
but how do i get VE and FE?
I choose B for the first one and am working on #18
And I really need help with this :
18. What is the area of this polygon?
ls_XF = 53 mm ls_XV= 72 mm ls_VR= 16 mm
ls_FB = 31 mm ls_BT = 31 mm ls_EU = 47 mm
ls_UL = 31 mm ls_TL = 88 mm ls_DE= 16 mm
ls_RM= 70 mm ls_MC= 21 mm ls_DC= 70 mm
A- 8014 mm2
B- 7030 mm2
C- 6027 mm2
D- 5478 mm2
E- 1782 mm2
F- 1225 mm2
I was wondering if my answer is correct
What is the area of this rectangle(in the img)?
A 17.06 sq units
B 60 sq units
C 21.6 sq units
D 53 sq units
E 28.9 sq units
F 51 sq units
Hi can somebody please help me see if my answer to the following question is correct
Calculate the area for each of the polygons below. If you do not know an equation to use, divide the polygon into other shapes to determine the area.
I choose A because
((1² * 3 / 4 tan ))* (180/3) = 0.43301270189
1. An equilateral triangle with a side of 1 inch
A 0.43 sq in
B0.56 sq in
C0.89 sq in
D0.23 sq in
E 0.19 sq in
F 0.54 sq in
I completed the lesson got a ten thank you sooooo much ![]()
Am ok with my answer for #8 but am confused between #9 # 10 now So
#10-
(3/4 * 50^2 * PI= 1875 PI + 1/4 * 30² * PI = 225 PI + 1/4 * 30² * PI = 225 PI) - 95
2325PI - 95 = 7209.2020292
#9- 9. The areas you found in 7 and 8 overlap each other. How much do they overlap? What *approximate* shape do they make? What is that area?
They overlap 95 but what's the area here?
oooh yeah they overlap about 250 So the answer I put for #9 is number 10 right?
6. How much of the 50 foot circle can the goat reach without getting interrupted by the barn? What is that area?
6. 3/4 * 50^2 * PI= 1875 PI
7. When the rope goes around the barn, what is the new radius? How much of a circle can it make without hitting the barn or overlapping area you've already found? What is that area?
7- 30 is the new radius. It can make 1/4. The area is 1/4 * 30² * PI = 225 PI
8. When the rope goes around the barn the other way, what is the new radius? How much of a circle can it make without hitting the barn or overlapping area you've already found? What is that area?
8. the radius is 30. It can make 1/4 the area is 1/4 * 30² * PI = 225 PI
9. The areas you found in 7 and 8 overlap each other. How much do they overlap? What *approximate* shape do they make? What is that area?
9. 95. They look like 3 triangles uniting. the area is
(3/4 * 50^2 * PI= 1875 PI + 1/4 * 30² * PI = 225 PI + 1/4 * 30² * PI = 225 PI) - 95
2325PI - 95 = 7209.2020292
10. What is the total grazing area the goat can reach?
10. What is the total grazing area the goat can reach?
3/4 +1/4= 4/4
50^2 + 30^2 = 80^2
4/4 * 80 ^2 * PI = 6400 PI
7210.2030
9. The areas you found in 7 and 8 overlap each other. How much do they overlap? What *approximate* shape do they make? What is that area?
about 250 Looks like 3 triangles uniting together the area is
3/4 x 50^2 x π + 1/4 x 30^2 x π + 1/4 x 30^2 x π =
1875π + 225π + 225π= 2325π
2325PI - 250= 7054.20292
Thanks
3/4 x 50^2 x π + 1/4 x 30^2 x π + 1/4 x 30^2 x π =
1875π + 225π + 225π= 2325π
2325PI - 95 = 7209.20292
3/4 + 50²+30²+30² * Pi = 5520.575041
Or?
1875pi + 225 Pi + 2401 Pi = 4501 Pi =14140.3085338
the radius is 30 right ?
the 1/4 the green part area
OK just before I do that So 225PI - 95 = 611.858347058
oooh 10 by 10 so 100
OOOh so not that whole overlapping area? the black is one square= 10
yup thats what I have in my notes but I thought that was wrong I get 20 and a half like that overlapping area 2 squares and a half
so I subtract that bit from the 30
but they are the same thing So its going to be 1/4 * 30^2 * PI again right?
