Venting. Do not read if you; are under 13 or; have a heart condition.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

What a load of [bleep] [beep] [bleep] that [beep]ing examination [bleep] is.

I got;

5 B's (English, Science [2], Maths and Religious Studies)
1 C (English Lit.)
4 [beeping] D's in French (Understandable), Graphics Design (WTF? I got told I got a freaking B in my coursework, for [bleep]s sake.) and ICT (It's a double. This will come soon.).

Now, these results aren't that bad, compared to some others, I expect. But, the one thing that really maths me off, is the D's in Graphics and ICT.

1) Graphics; I was told that I had a [bleep]ing B in the [bleeping] coursework. This would mean I'd have to [beep]ing get a U in my test just to get so [bleep]ing low! Which, by the way, is complete and utter [bleep]ing bull[bleep].

2) ICT; [Insert nonsensical raging babble and broken wall]. I had B/C on my Coursework, my exam was no GOD darn way so [bleep]ing low as those [bleep]hats [bleep]ing said it [bleep]ing was, for [bleep]s sake. I am one of the most [bleep]ing knowledgable people in the [bleep]ing school on [bleep]in computers! God darn it, this is complete and utter bull[bleep].
Hell, I even [bleep]ing talked to others who got [bleep]ing D's and they were told they got [bleep]ing A's on their [bleep]ing coursework!
The other thing is, we spent the 2 years changing teachers and even [bleep]ing changing [bleep]ing exam boards and even [bleep]ing coursework! This is complete and utter bull[bleep].

...

...

If you hadn't notice, I'm being very calm.

If I become enraged, you may read about it on the news...

"Earlier this evening, a man, from Jersey, was found dead. Bludgeoned with a wooden door that seemed to have come off the assailants wardrobe. The assailant is thought to be a young man, perhaps 16 or 17, wearing a black jacket and blackish trousers who'd recently got his GCSE results. A witness tells that he heard the young man shouting loudly '[bleep]ing D's! I'll give you [bleep]ing D's you [bleep]ing [bleep]s!'."

[Bleep]

There would be more, but I couldn't fit anymore warnings in the titles.

Maybe you got someone else's results ???

Your ICT result makes no sense - you are already developing websites and getting into PHP etc. So just ignore that result and carry on, you're doing fine.

Your English is excellent, too. This post still sticks in my mind: http://www.mathsisfun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=11190#p11190 Trust me, that is good.

What do all your grades mean? We have a completely different marking system.

And I suppose GCSE is what you do before you leave school? I know a bit...but not much. smile

Re: Venting. Do not read if you; are under 13 or; have a heart condition.

Ok. A* is the highest, then it's A, B, C, D, E, F, G then U for Unmarked.

GCSE's are General Certificate of Secondary Education. To get a GCSE you must get a C or above.

You start your GCSE's in Year 10 (you turn 15 years old in Year 10) and they go on for 2 years. You then take the exams, then you've finished compulsory education. Most people go to college or do A-Levels. Some people get jobs, like me.

Also, Maths in Year 11 is very hard. Not many people got A's. I don't think so, anyway. Also our Year 10 teacher was *BBBBBBBBBBBLLLEEPPPP*. So most of us failed Module 9 (Modules go from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest, the smarter you are the higher the modules you take. I started on Mod 8 then went on to 10)

So that's very basically our marking system.

That was funny. I don't think many people want to go to Hautlieu (place you do A-levels) this year as she moved there. Anybody who has ever had here for maths will know what I'm talking about.

Well if your grades go from A* to U, then what's AA and BB?

Your grades doesn't matter, you can't bring it with you when you die, and I won't feel VERY happy even if I top in class.

I feel that happiness is important. You can only ENJOY life if you are happy. Life is short, but death is eternal, so always feel happy, even if you did not do well for your exams.

Re: Venting. Do not read if you; are under 13 or; have a heart condition.

AA, BB, etc. basically means that you do 2 GCSE's in the same time as 1. SO, basically you do twice as much work in 2 years and you get 2 grades.

Oh... right. Thanks. So grades with different marks, like AC, BA, DE etc are possible?

Yes, but not likely.
