Re: Equations with parenthesis?

Mhmm = yes, yeah, sure

The final answer is 12x ²y ² + 2xy - 2?

Re: Equations with parenthesis?

Actually, I have to go but I will do one more...

(a + 3)(a - 2)

= a² - 2a + 3a + 1

How does that look? (before I simplify)

Re: Equations with parenthesis?

a ²- 2a + 3a - 6

can we combine -2a and 3a?

So we have a² - a - 6?

How manly bobbym...

Hi Sarah!

Bobbym,

Re: Equations with parenthesis?

I am aware, I was just double-checking if the problem was good with you or not. smile

Mmkay...

(2x - 3y)(4x - y)

*F* (2x)(4x) = 8x²

*O* (2x)(y) = 2xy

*I*  (-3y)(4x) = -12yx

*L* (4x)(y) = 4xy

= 8x² + 2xy - 12yx +  4xy

How does that look so far?
