i have a question isn't the whole point to get the x to equal zero so when i did 3x=0
and got x=0 the zero is ganna be multiplied by x^2-4
so it makes it true the first x did equal 0

Add '4' to each side of the equation.
-4 + 4 + x^2 = 0 + 4
-4 + 4 = 0
0 + x^2 = 0 + 4
x^2 = 0 + 4
0 + 4 = 4
x^2 = 4
Simplifying
x^2 = 4
x = {-2, 2}
