Other subjects

Currently, mathisfun is a fairly good website consisting of many subject tutorials. Although, I believe it would be much better if the site was accommodating more subjects such as:
Science (General, Physics Chemistry etc).
Art
History
Geography
Music
Linguistics

Re: Other subjects

i would very much like to see Science and Linguistics here.but all of this could maybe mess with the main purpose of this forum(math).

Re: Other subjects

The main focus could be on math, but the other subjects should be included too. By the way, my helping with mystar wars calculus thing? I have to give it in by a few minutes.

Re: Other subjects

I have always wanted to do Science, but the owner of "ScienceIsFun.com" won't sell ... the domain just sits there doing nothing.

Yep, there is!

Those subjects should be kept apart from mathematics. But sprinkled around on this site are many conversations about quantum mechanics, evolution, darwinism, dawkinism, cryptozoology, etc.

As for that problem just submit your answer I can not do any better.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Re: Other subjects

Mathisfun, you don't need to buy a domain. Just add the subjects to this site, as extra tutorials. Similar to what onlinemathlearning has done. their main focus is math, but they have the other subjects too. Well, only science but still.

Re: Other subjects

Not necessarily. Just add an "other" link then. That would consist of all the other tutorials.

I wholly agree. A bit of training in art, for example, would teach people the difference between art and trash.

Re: Other subjects

When I was at Uni a similar thing happened, an Art Display of rusting shovels were neatly moved off the grass by the gardeners.

The gardeners were spoken too at length, so much so that some months later when some students spread toilet paper all over the grounds (as a prank) the gardeners neatly mowed around each strewn length ... which made an art display of its own!
