Interesting to think about living there. If you were well insulated (say underground) the high and low temps would average out to around 130 degrees. With some solar collectors and heat pumps you could make it quite bearable.

Believe me 130 is not livable. It was 110 here and it is hot!

There aren't any ice cubes here. I was walking home from shopping and sat down to rest and drink something. I heard a little tweaking sound coming closer. I leaned over to see a scorpion approaching. He was wobbling badly from dehydration. He was begging for water and went belly up right in front of me. Short but pointless anecdote about the heat.
