As stated in my intro thread, I make math worksheets on Excel for fun.
Someone pointed out that most people use Mathematica. I was just curious if anyone can tell me how the worksheet aspect on the program works?
Mainly, when I use Excel, I use their random number generator so I can recreate as many worksheets as possible without worrying about repeated worksheets. Does mathematica do this?
And if mathematic doesn't do this, i'm curious if any site/service does.
If not, is anyone interested in having me to share what I make with them?

Mathematica is not a spreadsheet program. It is a Computer Algebra System. It can do almost anything math-related and many things that are not.
It has integration, limits, sums, series expansion, numerics, plotting, solving equations, systems of equations and differential equations. It has procedural programming commands.

I don't have it, so I'm just curious if it makes worksheets.
I tutor kids and I need worksheets all the time. And I hear about the amazing things that M does. I was just wondering if it can print worksheets easily.

It doesn't worksheets, but it can do anything you would want to do with a worksheet. The only problem is price (unless you can fibd it for free like some of us have ).

like i said, i make a lot of worksheets that are self-replicating. i just want to offer them (free) to people on this forum who have a need for them. i figured it's a good way to get to know more people here.

What kind of spreadsheets?

for example, when i teach inverse operations to my students. I made worksheets that had problems like 2x+1=17
but i hated having to recreate more worksheets if they needed more help. So I figured out how to use the random number generator to make problems over and over again.
so in the previous example, i made a worksheet that had 40 problems such as the one you see, but say you do it, and realized you need to do more problems, just hit f9 and a whole new set will pop up.
i have like over 100+ topics from pre-algebra to calc.

But if he is doing the worksheets by firing up a PRNG, it could be possible in Mathematica too.
Hi roniman,
Maxima and Sage which are free softwares can give a reduced similar experience

As I understand it, he created Excel spreadsheets with random numbers to generate the problems.

Yes. Why can't Mathematica generate random numbers?

It can also generate random answers too.
