Made a new page: Pythagoras Theorem in 3D

Any suggestions or comments?

Re: Pythagoras' Theorem in 3D

It's good, but I have a suggestion that in the animation when the purple and green squares cover the red one you should show the half line separating the purple and green squares to be equal halves. As of now, at the first glance I think students will think that the area of the purple and green squares equal the red one as you making things up since they can't see clearly that those squares are divided half and half. Sorry if my comment offends you in any way.

Thanks ganesh!

No offence Monox! I am not sure what you mean by equal halves though.

Re: Pythagoras' Theorem in 3D

Ummm... A line dividing the green square to two halves. The purple one should have that, too.

Re: Pythagoras' Theorem in 3D

One of the best visual demonstrations of Pythagoras’s theorem I’ve ever seen was on QI a couple of years ago.
