Hi! Just wanted to add another version, same result ... math IS awesome!

1/9 = 0.111...

9 x 0.111... = 0.999...

but

9 x 1/9 = 9/9 = 1

=> 0.999... = 1

hi Xepemu

Welcome to the forum.

That's a neat method which seems to overcome the objections some folk have about infinite digits.

How about joining the membership?

If 0.999... (or 0.111...) were a number, you could multiply it by an integer,

but as it isn't, you can't.

Hmm, what else could it be? Is it a kind of cookie? Is it a kind of lotion?
